    RVN

Hello my name is Jenny, I am a Registered Veterinary Nurse & the Practice Co-Ordinator at The Veterinary Surgery.

I started my Vet nurse journey in 2000 and over time I qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse. I joined The Veterinary Surgery as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in July 2015. After showing an interest in the management side of things I then got the position as practice coordinator in Jan 2018. I now do a mixed role which I enjoy, overseeing the smooth running of this branch, as well as providing nurse support.

In my spare time I like to socialise with family and friends.

I qualified as a RVN in 2001 and after working at my previous employment for 18yrs,  I joined the Great Houghton team, initially as maternity cover. I now enjoy doing administrative tasks that are required by the practice which in turn also helps our practice co ordinator with the work load. I still do my nurse consults and help out the back on operating days. Outside of work, I have a hard work westie  (!) and 2 rescued Shetland ponies that give me the run around. I also enjoy baking and craft work which keeps me busy.

Hello, I'm Charlotte and I work as a Veterinary Care Assistant, primarily at our Great Houghton branch.  I am also one of the practice's Wellbeing Champions, looking after our entire team. I graduated in 2022 with a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Management and Science. I am a member of the British Veterinary Reception Association and hold the Competent Veterinary Dispenser Award. I have recently completed additional training in bereavement support, so I can further assist our clients at this difficult time. At home, I have a cat called Olive, and I have experience caring for reptiles and dogs too. I enjoy spending my spare time perfecting my baking recipes, which I test on my fellow colleagues!
